I moved my blog to Github as I was tired of updating my Wordpress blog. And why host is yourself if Github can do this for you and you could benefit from their super fast CDN infrastructure. (it’s fastly btw). Github uses the Jekyll engine, so all pages are static. Exactly what I expect from a blog. No database, no on demand page rendering. Just serve the page.
While configuring the new blog, I decided not to port my old blog posts from Wordpress. Well.. I’m lazy and secondly, they were mostly rants anyway. And I no longer feel the need to be angry about things from the past.
So, a clean sheet. Let’s go!
